Dr. Wilson has been a Principal Engineer for ETC since he retired from the DoD in July 2016. He is currently managing the ETC Machine Discovery and Innovation project for ETC. Before retiring, Bill worked from 1989 through 2016 for the DoD, including stints at the Navy’s White Oak labs, the Air Force’s Munitions Directorate at Eglin AFB, NSWC Indian Head, and at the Defense Threat Reduction Agency. Over his DoD career, Bill conducted research in detonation science and energetic materials development, the last 12 years as Program Manager of DTRA’s Advanced Energetics Program. Bill likes to pursue nature photography, and spends a lot of time since retiring doing volunteer work for a local environmental group, while also enjoying gardening.
