An Economic Development Consultant for Energetics Technology Center with years of expertise in Government, Public Policy, Finance, and Budget and Economic Development. Lauer graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. He continued on to received his Masters Degree in Public Administration from the Pennsylvania State University. Lauer was the Prince George’s County Government’s Chief Regulatory official and Director of the Department of Environmental Resources for twelve years and served as the County’s Deputy Chief Administrative Officer for 4 years. He served for 10 years as the Charles County Maryland Government’s County Administrator and as its Economic Development Director for two years. He previously served on the Board of Directors of the Maryland Chamber of Commerce. He has been with ETC for seven years as a senior consultant focusing on state, regional, and local economic impacts of military facilities, private sector development of facilities on military bases, and developing local innovation ecosystems and partnerships. He served four years as an officer in the US Army.
