The Energetics Technology Center, Inc. (ETC) is seeking a full-time Junior-Level Network Engineer to work under Senior-Level Network Engineer to support tactical data and voice networks at the client location with the listed qualifications. This position is not remote-work eligible and candidate will be required to be on-site during projects, experimentation, and testing events.
EDUCATION:
Required: Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Engineering or a relevant technical discipline.
EXPERIENCE LEVEL: 2-4 Years
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and support 4G LTE / 5G network systems
- Assist in controlling high bandwidth data transfer and live analytics modeling systems
- Operate and configure voice radio and communications
- Operate and support Tactical Communication Network (Silvus / Trellisware / MPU5)
- Create documentation and standard operating procedures
- Configure and Support Cisco network equipment
Required Skills:
- Have or ability to obtain DoD 8570 IAT II – minimum CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent within 3 months of the start date.
- Have or ability to obtain a U.S. SECRET security clearance.
- Foundational knowledge of networking and networked systems, networking protocols, and security standards.
- Working knowledge of Command and Control Systems, Situations Awareness User Interfaces, API’s, SDK’s.
- Working knowledge of RF, RF deconfliction, and interference
- Working knowledge of mesh, wireless, and self-healing networks
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Linux
Desired Skills:
- Cisco CCNA or completion of Cisco training
- Experience operating autonomous vehicles and platforms
Required Certificate:
- CompTIA Security+ CE
Desired Certificates:
- Cisco CCNA
