Pete Schramm is an entrepreneur, motivator, and leader, experienced at building and leading large, diverse teams to solve complex problems. Pete grew up on a farm near Pittsburgh, PA and attended Catholic University in Washington DC, where he studied mechanical engineering (BS and MS) and played basketball and track.
He began his professional career at Lockheed Martin in the Operations Leadership Development Program (OLDP) where he held roles as a material cost estimator (proposal analyst), environmental sustainability engineer, supervisor, supplier quality engineer, and manufacturing engineer. He led an effort to design and implement Florida’s largest solar carport in 2017. After the two-year rotational program, he supported a missile launcher and shipbuilding programs as lead quality engineer and program manager respectively. Pete left Lockheed Martin in 2018 to work at MTEQ (now QinetiQ) where he managed a team of more than 100 engineers and scientists along with a $30M+ portfolio of multiple programs - building robots for the Army that keep the good guys safe from far away. He grew his portfolio by 50x in less than two years. Pete supports the ETC team as a consultant for business case development, project management, people development, and business development.
He is a trained and certified Lean Six Sigma Blackbelt, Agile HR Practitioner, Scrum Master, and Project Management Professional (PMP). Before work, after work, and on weekends Pete can be found working on his startup - Lattus (www.lattus.com). The concept came to fruition in March 2018 after he realized that his one on one mentoring began filling up 10-20 hours each week and he did not know the answers to all the questions that his mentees and peers had. Lattus is a platform that facilitates personal conversations on specific topics to share insights, perspectives, and experiences. After a conversation with Pete, you will be energized and motivated to tackle your biggest challenges and set out to achieve your dreams.
Pete continues to stay active by playing basketball, hiking, and cycling and loves traveling, and is always learning new things. The photo to the right is from a trip that he took with his brother to Lake Ohrid in North Macedonia in 2019. We live on an incredible planet and the world deserves to have access to other curious, motivated minds that can help them stop chasing dreams and turn them into reality!
