Sidney is the NavalX Central Florida Tech Bridge Coordinator at the Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division (NAWCTSD) in Orlando, Florida for the Energetics Technology Center. He graduated from the University of Kentucky with a B.A. in Psychology, Xavier University with a M.A. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology and the University of Southern Mississippi with a Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. He is also a graduate of the College of Distance Education Command and Staff Program, United States Naval War College and has a certificate in Healthcare Modeling & Simulation from the Naval Postgraduate School.
He spent twenty years in the U.S. Navy as an Aerospace Experimental Psychologist (AEP) before he retired as a Captain (06) in 2018. He was a Defense Acquisition Corps member and Level III in Engineering. His last tour in the Navy was at the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (OUSD R&E) where he had R&D oversight for Training, Human Systems, Joint Nonlethal Weapons, and Language portfolios across the Services. He has previously been stationed at NAWCTSD as a Deputy Program Manager (Lieutenant) and Deputy Director for Research and Engineering (Commander).
Sidney currently resides in Oviedo, Florida with his wife Erica Boccolucci Fooshee and two daughters Abby (14) and Ashley (12). He started with ETC in December 2019. Current as of December 2019.
